Pilar Carmona, MBA
Senior Director, Community Relations
Pilar Carmona, Senior Director, Community Relations manages the social responsibility of sustainable programs and clinical-engagement efforts. Community Relations focuses on health education, community-wellness presentations, awareness of clinical service lines, access, cultivating strong partnerships, assessing the needs of the community, leveraging healthcare expertise, and contributing to community advancement of health equity wellness through strategic engagement, community-partnership development, and serving on health committees and boards. Ms. Carmona brings 20 years of professional experience in community relations. She managed the development and implementation of pre-med student programs, worked nationally and locally in the corporate community relations sector, with nonprofits, and in Spanish media.
Juan Pablo Mosqueda, MA
Manager, Community Relations
Juan Pablo is responsible for supporting the outreach strategy to drive community presence in targeted areas for UI Health. He provides analysis of community assessments and other statistical data sources to identify key health disparities; establishes partnerships with external partners to further the reach of UI Health in its primary service areas; represents the health system at various events and on councils within the community; and works locally with nonprofits on health education and community engagement. He brings 16 years of professional experience in community relations and has worked to improve disparities for pre-med minorities through advising prospective medical students, recruitment, admissions, and research.
