Dr. Alan L. Buchman practices in the Division of Gastroenterology at UI Health. Dr. Buchman is an internationally recognized expert in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, and autoimmune enteritis), short bowel syndrome, nutritional support, intestinal failure/transplant, and parenteral/enteral nutrition. He has been at the forefront of the development of new medications, devices, and foods to treat patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders.
