Dr. Francesco Pucci practices in the Department of Neurosurgery at UI Health. Dr. Pucci specializes in the surgical treatment of adult and pediatric patients with epilepsy, and in restorative surgery for patients with movement disorders, craniofacial pain, somatic chronic pain disorders, and psychiatric conditions. He also performs surgery for brain tumors, particularly those that require awake or asleep brain mapping to preserve neurological function, and for CSF disorders (hydrocephalus, Chiari Malformation). Dr. Pucci’s research interests include understanding the neurophysiology of seizure activity and in neuromodulation for motor recovery in chronic stroke.
