Dr. Janet Lin practices in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UI Health. An expert in disaster preparedness and response, Dr. Lin has developed a number emergency response plans at the University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics for situations including virus outbreaks and weather events. She was a leading physician on UI Health's Incident Command Structure during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping to guide care, policies, and operations related to COVID-19. Dr. Lin travels extensively to help international communities prepare for and respond to disasters, and she investigates ways to improve access to care in resource-limited settings. She is a professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and the director of health systems development in the Center for Global Health at UIC.
