get to know our provider
As one of the leading interventional pulmonologists in the country, Dr. Kovitz offers a unique expertise that includes minimally invasive, diagnostic, and therapeutic interventions for the lung and pleura including: Advanced Diagnostic and Therapeutic Bronchoscopy, Complex Airway Management, and Pleural Disease Management.
The focus is on tailoring a unique approach to each patient that minimizes both the number and invasiveness of procedures to best diagnose and treat the underlying condition. Patients with thoracic tumors-most commonly lung cancer-are seen and diagnosed and then directed to the best therapy quickly and efficiently. Those with tumors or scars narrowing their airways can be opened with stents. Research focuses on minimally invasive procedures for COPD/Emphysema and Asthma as well as developing new technologies. The goal is to efficiently provide state-of-the-art care to all of our patients.
As part of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Kevin Kovitz was featured on WGN's 'Spotlight Chicago.'
