Dr. Maria El Gemayel practices in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at UI Health. Dr. El Gemayel completed fellowships in both transplant hepatology and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and small bowel disorders, and she specializes in the care of patients with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, short bowel syndrome, and other small bowel conditions, including patients requiring total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Dr. El Gemayel has a particular interest in providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with IBD and small bowel disorders, integrating the latest advances in medical therapy with a personalized approach to patient care.
