Dr. Raquel Gonzalez Heredia is a breast surgeon specializing in breast oncology and benign breast diseases. As an Assistant Professor of Surgery, she is committed to her field's clinical, research, and educational aspects. Dr. Gonzalez Heredia's expertise includes minimally invasive breast surgeries and oncoplastic techniques, providing her patients with advanced, individualized care aimed at providing optimal outcomes and quicker recovery times. Dr. Gonzalez Heredia publishes widely, with her research focused on minimally invasive techniques, neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatments, lymphedema prevention, and oncoplastic techniques. Originally from Spain, Dr. Gonzalez Heredia is passionate about serving Chicago's large Hispanic community in their native language and is involved with various other organizations seeking to expand healthcare access for underserved communities.  Through her research, teaching, and clinical practice, Dr. Gonzalez Heredia is dedicated to advancing breast surgery and providing high-quality, compassionate care to all her patients.
