Henry Taylor, MPA

Henry Taylor, MPA

President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Taylor, a Chicago native, spent most of his formative years on the South Side. He was formerly educated via the Chicago Public Schools and received his Master's Degree in Public Administration from Roosevelt University. He has also completed Executive Management training at University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, UCLA, University of Kentucky, and Harvard. He has over 20 years of healthcare administrative experience in the private, nonprofit, Catholic, and public sectors. He is passionate about patients' rights to healthcare. He continues to advocate on a national and local level for the rights of individual patients and actively lobbies for increased access to healthcare for underserved families. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Illinois Primary Health Care Association (IPHCA). In addition, he has served as past Chair of the National Association for Community Health Centers Task Force on Primary Care for Public Housing; a Member of the Board of Directors for CQuest America Inc.; past Board Member for the Chicago Children's Choir; and volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Taylor has been with Mile Square since 1998.

Ian Jasenof, MD, FACOG, MHA, CPE

Ian Jasenof, MD, FACOG, MHA, CPE

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Ian Jasenof was born and raised in Philadelphia. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He subsequently completed his medical degree at Rush Medical College and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has over 25 years' clinical experience. His healthcare leadership roles include Director of Undergraduate Medical Education; ex-officio member Board of Directors for Advocate Lutheran general Hospital and; various system wide leadership initiatives, including Quality Improvement, Peer Review, and Credentialing. Dr. Jasenof has extensive experience in the Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC) arena, where he has served a site medical director. He brings these experiences to promote best practices for those communities at risk for poor health outcomes. His innovative leadership brings a team-based approach for improving health outcomes.

Arshele Stevens

Arshele Stevens

Associate Executive Director
Arshele Stevens is a seasoned nonprofit executive, a champion of health education, and an advocate for social justice for women and those who are underrepresented.   She joins the Mile Square executive leadership team in their mission to provide holistic, quality health services in the midst of an underserved, urban community.  As a girl, she was raised to challenge limitations and as the mother of an amazingly strong, smart, and bold daughter; she was attracted to the unparalleled commitment to empowering girls for success and previously served as the (founding) Chief Executive Officer of Girls Inc. of Chicago.  Prior to this, she served as president of Kennedy-King College, Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at City Colleges of Chicago, and Chief Information Officer for Chicago Public Schools.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a cognate in Computer Science, from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She currently serves on the Board of Directors as Secretary for the Chicago Low-Income Trust Fund.

Timothy J. Stecker

Mr. Timothy Stecker was born and raised in Wisconsin, and after living over 20 years in Denver, Colorado, moved back to the Midwest and joined Mile Square Health Center in March 2018. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and he and is a licensed CPA in the State of Colorado. With more than 20 years of healthcare financial leadership experience, Mr. Stecker has worked in multiple facets of the healthcare care continuum ranging from family practice, oncology and behavioral health to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health organizations.

Sodabeh (Sue) Etminan, DMD, MPH

Sodabeh (Sue) Etminan, DMD, MPH

Dental Director
Dr. Sodabeh Etminan grew up in Rockford, IL. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois Chicago and her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She returned to UIC to complete her Masters in Public Health. She has over 10 years of clinical experience in the community health setting and has leadership roles or committee appointments in the Illinois Primary Care Association, Illinois Department of Public Health and sits on the Advisory Council for the National Health Service Corps. She is involved in training the next generation of public health providers and serves on the advisory council for the Schweitzer Fellowship.  Additionally, Dr. Etminan was named one of the Top 40 Dentists under 40 by an industry publication and was awarded an Emerging Leader Award from the Health and Medicine Policy Research Group. She strives to provide quality dental treatment settings for all patients with an increased focus on interdisciplinary care and improved outcomes. 

Phyllis Grice MSN, RN

Phyllis Grice MSN, RN

Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Grice, Chicago native, raised on the North Side. Formerly educated via the Chicago public school system and received her Master’s degree from Walden University. Her career started in the emergency department as a staff nurse, moving into the role of leadership. She served in the Emergency Department leadership at Mt. Sinai , Stroger and Holy Cross. She is a Trauma Nurse Specialist and was instrumental in developing the Stroke Program for Holy Cross Hospital. She has over 25 years of clinical experience. She currently serves on the operations committee for the Illinois Primary Health Care Association (IPHCA). She is passionate in bringing quality health care into the communities.
