Adolescent Medicine
The period of adolescence is a time of rapid growth, development, and change. The Section of Adolescent Medicine at UI Health recognizes that there may be distinct challenges during this time period, and we strive to address the unique needs of young people aged 12-22 by offering a full range of comprehensive healthcare services. We are committed to providing accessible, respectful, affirming, and individualized care to the youth and families we serve.
Adolescent Medicine is a specialized branch of Pediatrics. Our faculty are board certified in managing the complex issues of adolescents and young adults. We have extensive experience in understanding and treating both physical and emotional problems in a comprehensive manner, with special attention toward sensitive and open communication.
