Naso-Alveolar Molding: Naso-Alveolar Molding (NAM) helps the plastic surgeon to repair the cleft lip and nose by reshaping them before the surgery.

Psychology Support: The psychologist's role includes assessing development and functioning across the lifespan. Typically, during infancy, new patients and their caregivers meet with the psychologist for an initial consultation.

Audiology and Hearing: Hearing is affected in a child who is born with a cleft lip and palate. Because the cleft palate affects how the muscles work with the tube that drains the middle ear, many children with a cleft will have fluid buildup in the middle ear.

Speech Therapy: Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) specialize in the evaluation and treatment of communication delays and disorders. The speech-language pathologist treats children and adults with speech or language difficulties, as well as feeding and swallowing difficulties in infants.
