Upper Jaw Surgery
- Palatal expanders are put on first before the surgery by the orthodontist.
- Upper jaw surgery is performed inside the mouth, leaving no external scars.
- The upper jaw is sectioned in the middle.
- When the palatal expander is activated, the jaw is gradually widened.
- The orthodontist will determine the amount to widen the upper jaw.
- The space between the teeth will be closed orthodontically.
