You could still listen to the August University of Illinois Cancer Center and UI Health Mile Square Health Center segment on WVON 1690 AM’s "Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason," when the guests discussed pediatric care and back-to-school health tips ahead of the upcoming school year.
The first Sunday of every month was the Cancer Center and Mile Square segment on "Dr. in the House," where guests discussed cancer research and care, as well as general healthcare and services provided at UI Health. The segment was co-hosted by Mile Square Chief Executive Officer Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH, who was part of the Cancer Center in the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program.
The Cancer Center and Mile Square, a Federally Qualified Health Center with a network of clinics in and around Chicago and Rockford, were both part of UI Health, the academic health system at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).
