Rev. William Roelofs is a staff chaplain on the Palliative Care team at UI Health. Rev. Roelofs provides compassionate emotional/spiritual support for patients and families in the midst of serious illness. He assists patients and families identify sources of meaning, purpose, and quality of life preferences, unique to them, in order to aid in medical decision making. Rev. Roelofs provides a non-judgemental presence to journey with patients and families in order to better understand sources of existential/spiritual distress and comfort. He provides a calming presence and guidance in the midst of grief.
